It’s a matter of Virar (West).
Before covid – 19 the total revenue fetched by a Auto Driver was 4 passengers * Rs. 10 = 40, when it only takes the minimum as per fare which is Rs. 21-25.
During covid -19 there were only 2 passengers allowed per auto rickshaw, and to compensate them, the fare was hiked to Rs. 20.
After Covid – 19 the price was kept the same but the number of passengers they carry turned out to be Rs. 20 for 3 passengers which amounts to Rs. 60 which is unethical compared to meter system, which charges to the maximum of Rs. 25.
Please look into the matter as soon as possible as it’s a matter of public welfare, and no other mode of transport is directly available to the destined spot.
