Text of Complaint by Trupti Patil:

In reference to my home loan sanction vide file number 649880549SRS1 done in the month of March 2020 I could not process the home loan as I could not register my flat due to lockdown. I had spoken to my banker and he said that I will get an extension.I have registered my flat on 7th September 2020 and approached the bank for processing the loan

I have informed him that my employer is paying 70 percent of my salary due to the pandemic and it is mentioned in the salary slip , everything got delayed because of the lockdown. need clarity as to why the sanction will be reduced because in that case I do not want to go ahead with this offer and want a full refund of my processing amount. Please note that we were not paid salaries from March to June as the office was closed but we started in July and has been regular since then, and my normal salary will start January 2021 onwards.

Also the builder will not accept a reduced loan letter and will ask me to pay the difference amount which may come to more than 5 lakhs, where will I get that kind of money when I have incurred a loss in salary of more than 2 lakhs for 4 months when I was not paid during lockdown.

How is any of this my fault and why should I take the burden for it. My parents are senior citizens and they are worried now after your bank said this. Its their first home, will you take the responsibility if their health deteriorates due to tension If Mr. Sumane had informed this complete procedure when I spoke to him in July or brijesh had replied to my mail dated 20th July 2020 I would not have registered the property in September. I would have cancelled my booking.

I come from a middle class family and I have suffered huge loss in that terms and every penny counts for me so If you are not able to process the loan kindly refund my processing fees as it is not my fault.The bank needs to consider customers plight in these difficult times. I have a service record of 13 years and my CIBIL score is perfect with no default in any kind of payments and I work in real estate itself so I am aware of bank processes too and there are other banks which are processing the loans.I have been in touch with Mr. Brijesh and Mr. Koli wherein Mr. Koli said that he will get back to me but Mr. Brijesh is outrightly dismissing the issue stating that I had signed the document which says that there will be no refund  but I did not forsee a situation like this that time. If it was not for the pandemic my loan would have been processed.I have been a loyal customer for HDFC since long, I had also taken personal loan in 2015 and never defaulted.As a reputed bank you should help customers in these difficult times and not add to their losses Atleast check my credit history before doing this I have completely lost trust in HDFC now and I want my refund, and I will fight for it because I cannot bear any more loss financially
