Text of Complaint by Shreya Rawat:

I had lodged a online request for shifting my GTPL Wi-Fi connection on 26.08.2023. The connection had to be shifted from Bodeli district Chhotaudepur to Rajpipla district Narmada, GUJARAT . The request was placed from the registered mobile number and the customer service confirmed the number and I gave the address where the connection had to be shifted. I was told that I will get a call within 24 hrs and the connection will be shifted within 7 days. The request number was 908167

I had received no call in 3 days so I called at the customer service and asked for the status, and he told me to wait till 7 says as the request is under process.

After 8 working days I called again, the customer service executive had no idea about the reason for delay neither could tell tentative days under which it will be processed. So I asked her to lodge a complain for the same. The same day the GTPL executive in BODELI to whom complaint was allotted called me and said that since the connection has not been transferred yet he could not help with it, nor could he alot the complaint further.

Again I called customer care and asked her to alot complain to the department which would resolve the problem but she said since one complaint is already open she cannot do so. Nor could se suggest course of duration under which it will be processed.

Later I followed up on mail yoursupport@gtpl.in but even the queries asked were not properly handled on the mail. They kept replying that they have received feedback that the number and address provided is incorrect. I again confirmed that both the address and mobile number are correct. Then I raised matter to GTPL appellate authority but all in vain. All they say is that matter is under process. They don’t even give me the date before which it will be processed.

I already had paid 6 months advance bill of GTPL connection, and because of delay I am making weekly data pack recharges, which are additional costs occurring to me. I need Wi-Fi for my online classes. It’s already been almost a month now and I have no idea when the issue will be resolved.
