Text of Complaint by Harsha Sharma:

I used paytm for 2 months only i.e. May’22 and June’22. I had paid the complete bill of May’22 on time which was successfully received. When I made transactions in June’22, I paid the bill before time i.e. only 1-2 days after the transaction was made which was also successful. But after that a late payment fee of 590 INR was charged which I paid and that too was successful. After making all the payments before time and making an extra payment also (which was not to be made), my bill was still showing unpaid with some amount. I thought it would be updated in a few days on the application. But after a few days, I started getting calls from Aditya Birla to make the payment and when I told them the whole story, they told me to get in touch with Paytm postpaid team. When I called paytm customer care, they told me that there’s no customer care department for paytm postpaid and they cannot help me in this. I was continuously getting abusive calls from Aditya Birla in the month of June’22. I again made a transaction of approx. 2000 INR to check if that mistakenly taken late payment fee can be adjusted or not, but it was neither adjusted nor refunded.

After few days, I got a call from paytm postpaid recovery team. I shared the whole story to that female executive. She checked all the transactions and bill payments and clarified that the balance of approx 6000 INR was showing because of a techinical problem from paytm’s end and it would be recified soon. She also promised me that the amount of 590 INR will be refunded and then I can pay the last bill of 2000 INR. But nothing happened. It’s now showing a pending bill of 9000 INR and I have been getting continuous threatening and abusive calls from paytm postpaid. I’m tired of explaining them the scenario but they never help.

Paytm has started fraud on the name of paytm postpaid. These people have been mentally harassing me for a last 4 months and their abusing language which they use have resulted in the symptoms of depression that I’ve started observing in the last 1 month.

I also tried to have a discussion with the higher management of the company instead of their shitty abusive illiterate executives of the recovery team who don’t even know the basic maths and basic etiquettes too. I dropped multiple messages to the CEO as well on instagram and their customer care email id is also not active.

I have all the proofs with me, all the contact numbers of their shitty employees from which they are harassing me by their abusive calls, along with the screenshots of their WhatsApp chats and my paytm postpaid transactions also.

I think they have forgotten to build a customer care team before building a recovery team collecting all the ill-mannered people from the country for which they should be shameful at least at this point of time. Please help me.

You can find the contact numbers used by your recovery team which they use for the harassment and abuse the customers instead of resolving the issue:

Sunita: +91 98112 81591 – she calls and talks very rudely and threatens me. When I shared my concern with her, she said, “ ek kaam kar, tu paise wapas mat kar aur unki batti bana kar rakhle apne pas” these were her exact words. You can think how shameful it would be for the company if I raise this on social media.

Razia: +91 97113 77412 – she calls and use abusive language and disconnects the call on my face when I try to share my concern.

Harish: +91 97113 77395 – He calls and threatens me and when I tell him to check the transaction history and then call, he never calls and always disconnects the call when I call back.

Other numbers are:

+91 8373-900878
+91 8373-900756
+91 9811276491
and many more which are not showing in my call history now.

I spoke to one of their seniors also whose name is Sunaya. I even complained about Sunita but nothing got better. Sunita called me yesterday with the same pitch.
She listened to what exactly happened to me and how your technical team failed to resolve the issue but when I asked her for the solution, she also disconnected the call and never received the call when I called her back.

Attached are some WhatsApp conversation screenshots for your reference who have now blocked me when I called back or replied.

Please get this issue resolved and I also want to claim for compensation for such behaviour that I’m still tolerating.

  1. I used paytm postpaid since 2022 i use the credit shown and on time i pay them everything is going fine until i observed at they put irrelevant charges on my postpaid account un-necessarily.I talked with the customer care but no help they given to me then i try to not use them still they charge me with their convince charges then i pay the payment again and not using it . Due to some reason on march 2023 i again use postpaid due to financial issues and quite a bit late they but me 590 rupee of charge and next month again after the they call me from different different numbers and threaten me
Some of the caller rather they are men or women uses very abusive language like “Abey tereko ghr se utha lenge chup chap paisa de de nahi toh police se tereko jail kara denge tere ghr pr aakr tere ghr ka saman le jainge ” and sometime they say”Tere ghar ke bahar khade hai bahar aa tujhe abhi batatr hai” .
One day my mother picked up the phone and without asking or confirmation that was me or not they started abusing my mother
Then again i call the customer care and explain whole story they said they have no paytm postpaid help n support retun the money and that’s all.
I use 2775 rupee they they are asking me 5k+
Is this the pay later policy ?
