Text of Complaint by Rahul:

I am writing to submit my concern regarding a recent order of an LG Television I placed on Flipkart (Order Date: 07.07.2024). The details of the TV are as follows:

Model: LG UR7500 139 cm (55 inch) Ultra HD (4K) LED Smart WebOS TV
Specifications: Gen6 AI Processor, AI Picture Pro, 4K Upscaling, 60 Hz Refresh Rate, Game Optimizer, Magic Remote Capability
Model Number: 55UR7500PSC

The TV was delivered on 09.07.2024 without any visible physical damage. However, upon installation and switching on the TV, a vertical line appeared on the display screen. I immediately reported this issue to the Flipkart support center. They advised me to reach out to the brand for a job sheet and mentioned that if the brand does not respond within 48 hours, Flipkart would take further action.

Following their advice, I wrote to the brand as advised by your support executive but did not receive any response. After waiting for 48 hours, I informed Flipkart support executives regarding the non-response from the brand. Subsequently, on 12.07.2024, a replacement was scheduled with an expected delivery on 28.07.2024 and installation on 29.07.2024.

Since the delivery location was my temporary address and I am a frequent traveler with plans around the delivery dates, I reached out to flipkart support executives on 13.07.2024 and 14.07.2024 to request either delivery and installation before 22.07.2024 or, alternatively, a return of the defective TV with a full refund. I was informed that my request was escalated and that a resolution would be provided within 48 hours.

Surprisingly, the status of the issue changed to resolved without conveying any solution or actually resolving my issue. Thereafter, I contacted the Flipkart support executive again on 18.07.2024 and was informed that neither the replacement process would be expedited nor the return process with a full refund would be initiated.

It is perplexing that a fresh order can be delivered within 2 days as shown on your website/app, whereas the replacement is taking 18 days. This is highly disappointing, especially considering my regular patronage of Flipkart. But no support was provided and for that, I had to change my schedule to be present on location for the replacement process.

Now, on 28.07.2024, the Flipkart delivery partner reached the location and asked me some serial no of old product and he returned without a replacement and informed me to contact the support center for the serial no.

I was fed up with the services of Flipkart and I didn’t seem that they were taking the customer issue as a top priority. Accordingly, Kindly initiate a full refund and arrange for the pickup of the defective TV from the delivery location.
