In response to a sms message fro VM-FSTSMS offering cell phones at very low prices, I made payment of Rs 2999/- by credit card through PayU id no 329065817 on 15.6.2020 for purchase of a cell phone with delivery promised within 4-5 days.
On non receipt of the phone, I checked the internet and obtained customer care nos 6204027663/6202278073 of Mobile Trolley.
i called the said nos which was answered by one Mr Sonu Kumar who informed that the order was cancelled and said a refund will be made to my Google Pay linked account. He asked me to call from the Google Pay linked cell no which I did.
A gibberish sms message was sent to me which I was directed to forward to their customer refund cell no 9246024024 while still being in conversation with the customer care person Mr. Sonu Kumar.
I did not forward the sms as directed and disconnected the call as i felt that it was a ploy to hack my accounts and drain money therefrom.
On calling up again, Mr Sonu Kumar stated that since I am not following his instructions, nothing could be done. I instructed him to send me the refund to my credit card He now refuses to pick my my calls.
It seems that PayU is also hand-in-glove with this fraudulent co MobileTrolley as they have have registered this vendor for collecting payments on their behalf.
Request the authorities to track down the location of the company through the cell nos and initiate action to prevent further fraudulent transactions by Mobile Trolley and PayU.
