A person had posted an ad in facebook for an activa for urgent selling from pune. When contacted, they confirmed that they are army personnel and due to some urgent posting they had to sell their activa at 22500 Rs as noone from their family would be able to use the same. They had a one to one phone calls and akso shared some army canteen card. On further confirmation with the deal they went ahead and sent a QR for paying 1550 which they will minus from the actual payment. They shared fake photos and videos showing the doc papers and courier related work and confirmed that the shipment will arrive at Malad by next day morning. We can pay only after checking the vehicle. Next day we got a call stating there is some issue with the parcel and will have to pay 50% beforehand to release the parcel or else the courier will return. On communicating the same to the person with whom we dealt they said they will talk and callback and instead told us that we have to go ahead with the payment as such issue arises sometime. Then on further probing we asked them for a video call and they blatantly denied. We asked for further prove and they started abusing and threatening that they will use the id proofs provided to lodge a fake case.
