I am a registered tutor on Urbanpro. 1 enquiry came to me saying needs a tutor,as per the protocol i contacted through the platform..but initially didn’t get any response,but later on I saw he has shared his phone number thorough image..as this was against the protocol i warned him stating he is not allowed to do..still I called him in his number which he shared..while talking he said me he is an Army officer,he has 2 kids studing in Chandigarh,he will be leaving for kargil that night only and won’t be available for coming 6 months. So before leaving he wants to fix a tutor for his children. I still asked him to get a demo,I was introducing myself in detail but he said he has seen my reviews and wants me to start teaching as soon as possible.. Asked how much do I charge,I said 2k for each student..As there was 2 students,so it must charge 4k. Listening this,he said to give a discount and I agreed for 3k.
So he said to spare him some time ,so that he can talk to his kids and confirm me. After a while he again called me and confirmed me,and asked me for my account details,I said I have gpay,so shall I share my qrcode.. After sharing he said me the money will be first sent to UPI Wallet,then after processing it will be sent to your bank account. I said I have no idea about such a prolong method. He said as he was an army officer and due to his security he is been asked to do that, Initially i agreed..but meanwhile I shifted maximum amount in my different account whose qrcode I have not shared.. The process by which he was trying me to send 1 rupee was successfull but later on when same thing was done for 9k rupees it said I don’t have sufficient amount..and it showed me failed.. Moment I understood this,he was the one who understood first.. I got a doubt..
He was supposed to sent me money,what it has to do with my account balance.
And after that I was reluctant of doing further processing..and he kept on persuading me to do the same..
He kept on saying me his 9k rupees has been cut,now from where he will be getting this money..
For assurance purpose he even video called me,and for assurance I also received that video call..
I literally threatened me saying he has the power of doing anything,said me he Works for our Country,how am I not trusting him etc..
I repeatedly was feeling suspicious and hanged up the call.
He kept on calling me and after a while I am seeing he recorded that video call conversation,my WhatsApp dp..and threatening me that he will viral that video.
Initially I got scared..but finally I blocked that contact.
