I had uploaded my resume on Quikr to find data entry, home based jobs. I have been very aware in dealing with all the calls offering such jobs, because Quikr has sufficiently kept us updated with frauds that could happen, more particularly demanding of money for registration.
But, today I received this call from Crop Technology, as they call themselves, saying that they were offering work from home data entry jobs and they were carrying operations throughout the country. He gave me further details of the job like 11 days of work requiring the filling of 1000 forms, payment of Rs 30/form (which comes to Rs 30000 per month salary), keeping aside of Rs 6000 by the company every month which shall be refundable, one year contract and stuff similar that have been written down in the previous complaints. He seemed to be in a hurry to take my agreement and complete the registration process. As I was querying him more and more about his company and work details, he just tried to move ahead asking me to send the necessary registration documents immediately. I tried to delay it through a few excuses, and may be that I was the reason I got to save myself ahead of the danger. My instincts supported and I read word by word of the pdf he had sent me; the presentation pf that pdf wasn’t at all alike to a well established company. I checked his name on Truecaller (8153010200), it showed as Rahul Shah. My doubts deepened. He was calling me back to back. I said I didn’t have my ID proof with me, he started adding more options. He suggested me to use my friend’s ID even and was texting me to send him, repeatedly. I researched further on Google, not answering to his texts for a while, and luckily found three complaints which had been registered against the same company with the same story. I deleted my email address and contact number that I had sent him. Thanks to WhatsApp, it allows us such options.
I texted him instantly that I wasn’t interested and his fraud wouldn’t work with me anymore because I had traced their truth. I asked him to stop deceiving deceiving people and doing such stupid work. And yet very confidently he texts me back “Ok as u wish”.
Till now all they had said me was that I would have to pay a penalty of Rs 6000 (the registration fees that they would be deducting from my salary every month as mentioned in the pdf) in case I am not able to achieve the 80% accuracy goal. Rest, I wasn’t further trapped because I recognised them prior hand.
