I ordered a dash cam from the following website. Checking prices online for similar products showed that the price is aligned to others, so I said I should give it a go.
I selected to pay cash to the courier. I felt somrthing was wrong: the package was smaller and lighter than expected (I should have refused it). Since I didn’t have a choice to open it before paying, i took it.
The product was totally different (nothing to do with the advertising (a totally way cheaper product: it cost 80$ but it’s worth is max 3$.
The seller = HK WAYS INTERNATIONAL eucs.ways@gmail.com. searching online, i’ve discovered that they do such scams for a living (e.g. https://consumercomplaintscourt.com/frauda-vanzari-de-bunuri/).
I have already contacted them and the courier company as well. This is a typical chinese scam where they send totally different products on purpose (they already have pre-written email responses – it is not the first time they are doing this- and also attached a photo with settlement options “in case of product disatisfaction”. Of COURSE I CANNOT BE SATISFIED EITH A TOTALLY DIFFERENT AND CHRAPER PRODUCT INSTEAD.
please do anything possible to prevent such fraud to happen to others as well. They should be fined and blocked. I have added pictures as evidence
