I am the victim of 5 consecutive fraudulent transactions dated 03.01.2022. The approx. the amount debited is Rs. 35,111/-
For These transactions, I have not shared any OTP/CVV with someone or my card details. Then how do these transactions happen? How did my Card details leak? Is there any card cloning?
As per the guidelines of RBI SBI Card must refund these fraud transactions to me but you send me the bill for these unauthorized transactions.
RBI via circular DBR.No.Leg.BC.78/09.07.005/2017-18 has limited the liability of customers in case of unauthorized transactions. As I have reported the immediately I need a full refund.
After too many complaints you only said these transactions are authorized via OTP. I am not a new bee who shared his OTP with anyone. I know this very well about this.
But as usual, SBI doesn’t want to refund my money. You can also stop payment of these transactions but you don’t. As I have complained within one hour.
As per SBI customer care, these transactions were done via Paypal from Singapore. I never visited a foreign country. Also on this day, I was on duty at BSNL. I have researched about these transactions there are too many complaints about credit cards on International Fraud transactions.
I have filed a complaint of fraudulent transactions immediately. But SBI Cards denied refunding this amount arguing that these transactions are the liability of the Cardholder. After that Bank is not responding properly to me. (attached files)
I have very good relationship with SBI for more than 12 yrs. and with SBI Card approx. 4 years.
I am an aware customer of SBI Credit cards. I know that we should not share OTP or CVV with someone.
As per RBI Guidelines, I have reported this transaction within 3 days the Reference number is 1144030087487. So I should receive the full amount refund of these Fraud transactions.
It is a humble request that please take action against this complaint and refund me the full refund amount.
