Today I received a call from +919745710350 who identified himself as a FedEx employee (Rahul Narayan with ID- FX57216). He told that my Aadhaar number has been misused for some illegal parcel from Mumbai to Taiwan, which has been stopped by the Customs Service at the airport. He gave all the information about the parcel. Then he forwarded the call to a person calling himself a cyber crime officer for my complaint of misuse of Aadhaar number. They asked me details of where I have used my Aadhaar card recently. I mentioned the names of two hotels where I used it recently. Then he asked me to download SKYPE app to take my video statement. Then the call gets disconnected. Then I checked the parcel number given in FedEx tracking where I did not find any such parcel details present. Then I checked myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in where I found out that no such misuse history has been recorded. Then I found exactly similar case of fraud at https://consumercomplaintscourt.com/fraud-call-from-91771291268-thurs-16-nov-at-3-pm-around/.
Now it clearly appears that they were extracting my personal information for their own benefit. My request is that strict action should be taken against these scammers as soon as possible.
