On 17th JULY, 2021, A person named KAPIL(Mob No. [9054151636]) called me regarding some online data entry work & messaged me on WhatsApp for the same. I was completely unknown to such sorts of cyber frauds and in need of a job during such tough COVID-19 times. The offer seemed quite lucrative & promising. This person (KAPIL) from KT JOBS offered the job to fill 800 forms @Rs40 Perform within 7days with 90% accuracy i.e 720 forms need to be corrected. I had financial needs hence I accepted the offer. Then this person mailed me my email. When I opened the mail an OTP came on my mobile No. This person called me to put the OTP on some mail without informing me of its consequences. Apparently, due to this, I had digitally signed something which says 720 forms need to be correct and they will pay 40 RS/form otherwise 5999 RS will be fined. Then the person tells me a call will come to you just to confirm the date of starting the work, he also told me don’t open a link on any other mobile and laptop. He told me to open the link on the finalized date. Then I got a mail from the company providing me with a user ID & Password for data entry work. It was 17th July, I started gathering information about KT jobs from the internet and by reading articles. I found many complaints registered about their fraud. I decided not to work and I directly messaged him and told him I’ll not be able to work. He said the agreement has been signed, so you have to work otherwise you have to pay 5999 RS else he will take legal actions and you will get the notice from the court. I blocked his contact and deleted all the conversations we had.
After that, on Monday 19th July he sent me an SMS and blackmailed me about start filling the form or pay 5999 RS else I will receive a notice from the court. I didn’t react much over this as I knew this is just a fraud and they are trapping people by just blackmailing. A week later, on 27th July I received another SMS from number 8128694528. In the SMS, it was mentioned that “Your work is incomplete as per agreement so please pay the application fees before 2 PM and send the slip. Else will have to send the file to the legal department. After that, your legal case will be filed.”
Please help me, they are blackmailing me. They also have a copy of my Adhaar Card. This caused me a lot of mental stress & trauma. All their numbers seem to be spam.
