I am Sayantan Kundu
On 18th of May I received a phone call for online job , from ICS Consultancy. it was for a Captcha Typing Job. I told them to send me job details and any sample of work so that I can understand the whole procedure what I have to do in this job. They also took a 5min online interview and then they showed me an agreement letter from a link and told me to sign that agreement letter. But I refused that and said I shall sign after you show me the sample of work which I have to do, if I satisfy with the work then I do it,otherwise not. Though they force me to sign in this letter and called me in the evening and told me that they send the sample if I click the link of an email they provided earlier. I clicked the link and it said “Successfully Registered”. But I did not do any signature.Then they send a video of the working procedure through whatsapp, but I called them immediately and told them I have not any sufficient time to do the work and aslo told them to cancel it if they register me forcefully. Then I called them, and they said they will cancel it. But within 7days they send me mail and whatsapp message to do the job.I refused and said that I have cancelled this earlier. They did not say anything. But in 28.05.2021 they sent a mail, which says that they will took legal action for the “breach of contract” and if I want to avoid this I have to pay 78,100 rupees.They also send the message through whatsapp,and called me saying that they will send regional police if I do not give them money. Sir I did not did any contract with them, though they are saying this. I searched in the internet and found that there are so many complaints against those Captcha Typing Job and aslo against the “ICS Consultancy” , in consumer court website. People are saying the company did this fraud earlier with others also.
But, they are sending me mail and SMS,again and again, saying that they will send me legal notice etc etc. if I refuse to pay the money they want.
Please help me in this matter.They are really harassing me.
