I am only reaching out to you as I am surprised and appalled at the behaviour of the new entity – VodafoneIdea. How they have resorted to fraudulently activate plans of higher value [Vi-RedX] in the customers account and on top of that they are not allowing me to cancel the plan now.
I made a payment against my Vodafone bill on 2nd July 2020, the first time it showed unsuccessful so I made the payment twice. Later on I found that they have not reversed the payment but instead activated a plan of higher amount [I earlier had a Rs. 499 plan but they activated Rs. 999 plan]  on the same date on my number. When I realized this, I asked them to cancel to plan to which the customer care executives I spoke to, denied that they cant cancel it from their end. I was made to speak to multiple customer care executives who only killed my time without any help. I was then asked to download VI app if at all I wanted to cancel the plan.
Finally my plan was cancelled, but I was levied a 3000 rs penalty on the same. I refuse to make that kind of payment, why should I ? I wrote on social media tagging them [where they dont care to answer], I emailed appellate tribunal and also to their CEO. Seems like no one cares to reply. My number has since been deactivated and I am now also facing reputational loss because of this.
