Dear Team,

It is regarding the flight cancellation refund issue from Flipkart Travel.

I have made two ticket bookings on 17th April 2020 from Bangalore to Male on Flipkart Travel. Unfortunately, because of COVID-19 outbreak the tickets were cancelled by the Airlines(Srilankan Airlines).  From that moment I have been following up with Flipkart travel help desk and as well as the Srilankan Airlines for refund. It’s been 7 months but never got the resolution of the problems.

Till now, I have made hundreds of calls and written tons of mail to the Flipkart travel help desk, but despite the generic answers they never really bothered about the issue. After a few months they have started blaming the Airlines saying Srilankan Airlines are not refunding any ticket, but When I contacted Airlines directly, it was a completely different response. They said they are happy to refund as the tickets were cancelled by them but won’t be able to send written confirmation as tickets were not booked directly on Airlines website. Even there are times when Flipkart  customer care said that the refund amount has been received by flipkart and their back end team is validating it. But, till now

Finally,  I have got an update from the Srilankan Airlines team on Sept 26 that they can give the full refund but they need the RAA number from the Flipkart team. So, I have tried calling multiple times and even written so many emails to the flipkart travel help desk to share the RAA number with me but did not get any updates from them till now.

I am really fed up and tired of following up with them. Fortunately, now the Supreme Court approved the recommendations of DGCA  on the refund of both domestic and international flight tickets which were booked between March 25th and May 24th. So, I’m requesting you to help me out in getting the refund amount (29,907 rupees) because the Flipkart travel help desk team has not responding to me.

Note: On Srilankan Airlines website they have mentioned that the ticket numbers which are starting from 6033 are cancelled by Airlines and they are eligible for the full refund.
