Text of Complaint by Mukesh Joshi:

My brother needed to reach Vancouver for his studies and for that purpose i booked a ticket for him using flipkart travel. Being a user of flipkart for a while I was having trust in them so decided to choose it for flight booking. I got the flight ticket for around 70000 rupees and it was scheduled for 27 june 2021. But there was ban on flights again from indian and canadian govt just two three days before and the flight got cancelled. I contacted flipkart and they asked me to talk to air canada for the issue.
I told them it was you from whom i have booked and you are the responsible authority who should look over the issue, but they asked me to do do anyway. I contacted air canada and they asked me if i want to reschedule or want to have complete refund. I opted for complete refund as i was not getting the flight on my time and it was atleast two month late.
Than i contacted flipkart again and they told me that they want proof from air canada side and i asked them again that it is their duty to contact air canada and not mine.
But again they said that they can’t do anything in the matter if i don’t provide the proof. I contacted air canada again and requested them to provide proof that i am eligible for complete refund from flipkart, though they told me they are not bound to share any kind of information to me directly as the ticket is been booked through flipkart only, after my request they agreed and provided me with a statement. Seems like you can trust foreign operating firm better than those working in your own country.
Anyway i provided flipkart with the statement an d they told me ok they will look into the matter. Months passed and i called them regularly and they asked me 2- 3 days time again and again and told me everytime sorry sir for your inconvenience and we are looking into it and repeat same dailogue of providing me with feedback in next 2 to 3 days.
I was frustrated of calling them every another day and to tell them the issue from scratch again as every time there was a new executive talking to me.
They once floated me a form to fill for refund that was from air canada side and when i opened the form i found that it was a form that can be filled by flipkart themselves only and contained information to be filled by flipkart executive only.
I again talked to them about the issue for months and they just telling me repeating same stuff of sorry for inconvenience, we will revert back to you.
It has been again two months now and they have even stopped calling or even providing me any update.
The hard earned money may have no value for big firms like flipkart but to us it is saving of months and this tind of response from flipkart left me devastated.
I hope i will be provided with some help through this platform.
