Quick Money app is a highly suspicious financial (money lending) application currently on Google Playstore. It shares users’ confidential data with Kenyan scammers who then bombard users’ phones with notorious scams and malicious links. Fraudulent loan terms, exorbitant interests, and extortionary texts are the application’s modus operandi. Their activities range from blackmailing citizens via edited photographs (nudes) to interfering with persons’ livelihoods. Google Playstore is equally culpable as it highlights fake positive user reviews and hides critical ones.
