I am the consumer of Vodafone Family Pack (RED). My sims were PREPAID . About an year back Vodafone representative visited my office and converted my sims from PREPAID to POST PAID. He himself was filled the forms from my mobile and made family pack for three numbers including mine. As this is a family pack bills are sending to my phone and I am paying online to vodafone which was clearly showing in their app and after payment it shows NO DUES PENDING.
I was happy with their service. As mine is RED pack outgoing and incoming calls are free . But they started calling me and began to talk about old outstanding about Rs.212/- and started mailing to me. Whenever they demand this old outstanding I told them clearly that my phone numbers were PREPAID and I am making payment in advance, then how the old outstanding arise? They are insisting for this payment and started blocking the networks and calls. First they have demanded Rs.212/-, later it reduced to Rs.211.06 and Rs.211.01. I contacted the Vodafone agent who approached me for converting the phones from prepaid to post paid and he told me that this may be fraud calls don’t want to make any payments. Again and again I am getting phone calls and mails and warned me to make payment of old outstanding for smooth working of phone. They started calling my family members too. On 30th September 2002 I got a call from Vodafone representative and I narrated the full story to him. He agreed my comments and he himself lodged a complaint on their portal. He told me that this may be doing by Vodaphone Gallery staffs. I told him that when I changed through their representative he gave me three new sims and he himself installed the sim. “VODAFONE MIGHT HAVE ISSUED SOMEBODYELSE USED NUMBER and in that case they Vodafone should have asked payment for the person who used this number before. Now it is clear that the VI team changed their records and might have manipulated the old records in my name. After making the complaint the VI team made changes in the VI app and now demanding Rs.421/- and this was clearly shown in the VI app. In between they told me that they include this amount to my coming bill. Now it is very clear that they are trying to make financial fraud and telling me to make ONLINE PAYMENT.
I made all bills and nothing is pending and now demanding old payment which was not used by me is a clear plan for online cheating. I am planning to file a cyber complaint .
I am having the copies of communication between I and Vodafone and all payment details.
