Text of Complaint by Kanika Mehta:

I had purchased the Lenovo Tab 3 710I Tablet (7 inch, 8GB, Wi-Fi + 3G + Voice Calling), Black from Amazon on 2nd Nov 2018 after which I had immediately moved to Australia. This Tab has an extremely poor battery back-up and it can’t be used for more than 2-3 hours. Also, it needs about 810 hours of charging which has made me extremely unhappy with my purchase. I had contacted the Amazon Team who asked me to get a service denial letter from Lenovo after which they said they will resolve my issue. I emailed the Lenovo team who told me that it does not cover international warranty. My only reason to choose Lenovo Tab over any cheaper brand was that I can get it repaired abroad, if needed. I forwarded my communication with Team Lenovo to Amazon who told me that they have escalated my issue to higher authorities and will contact me within 3-5 days. It has been ~20 days and they are of no help at all. Their evasive attitude and unwillingness to help baffles me. Every time I ask them about the same, a new executive is assigned who is completely oblivious to my grievance. I have received several false promises from their end asking me to wait while they will address my issue.
I want to have my money refunded for the Tab asap. I am ready to return this damaged product to the Amazon Australia, if that helps. I have several proofs from my previous purchases showing how Amazon sells defected and pest-infected products.
Another issue that I faced recently was with my brother’s purchase of Mi 3C Router. The router is not working to its full capacity as it is not giving the desired speed which is being provided by the LAN wire of our internet connection. Speed of the internet is 50 Mbps but the router is only being able to give 25 mbps speed and we are not able to enjoy our high speed internet because of their faulty product.. He raised this issue but has been given a standard response by your team to visit a service centre. This is highly unfair as he has already spent Rs. 300 to the Internet provider for his visit to check for any possible problem with internet. Going to the service center will be all the more inconvenient especially when we have paid Rs. 1000 for a faulty product. This incident again goes to show their fraudulent and unscrupulous practices.
