Text of Complaint by Ankur Bansal:

Recently, there was an internet connection + Dish Antenna connection had been installed ( 40 GB Plan ) in the month of November end on Rohini, Delhi 110085. Registered contact no is XXXXX XXXXX under Kailash Bansal. This area sales man approached us and asked us Rs. 1500 to pay for connection and he assured us that it will be totally free for one month for new connection and this Rs 1500 which you are paying will be used for next 2 months cycle so basically you need not to pay anything for next 3 months. Also, I was told that the referral and referee will get a Rs 300 amount and will be adjusted in their upcoming bills. And now after a month, I am getting a call from Airtel Customer Care, your bill is pending from last month due to which they have disconnected my connection. I have been a user of Airtel for the past 7 years but these instances are forcing me to think twice about how these false promises have been made while making new connections. I can share the contact number of the salesperson who promised all above (97111 10654). I have shared all this incident with Airtel Appellate.NCR authority but their response or reaction was very low and casual. Saying that “we apologize for the inconvenience caused. ” does not solve all the issues. They replied that Rs 1500 they charged for all DTH Set up but that was not needed at all because I had already Tata Sky Dish Antenna Connection. Since salesperson mentioned that company is bearing all these installation costs for their new customers so I agreed on that part for setting up this DTH connection. Now after all email communication, they are saying they can waive off some Rs 320 and rest you need to pay. I do not know what calculation they have made but my take is that Airtel has to go with all their promises how their salesperson committed (connection free for next 2 months and referral amount (300 + 300).
