I would like to place on record that I first called regarding this issue to the international Customer Care on 30th March and some agent named Manoj refused to register my complaint, provide me with an Employee ID, refused to email his superior or hand over the phone to him.
The issues with my current bills are
1. I have been charged 500 Rs for the I-Roam Free 500 pack, which I never authorised Vodafone to activate.
2. I have been charged Rs 2999 for the I-Roam Free 7 day pack which was not activated because the I-Roam Free AUTO @500 pack was already active. It was further informed on the msg that the pack would only be activated if I tried again. I then decided to but a local(European) Sim and therefore never applied to activate the pack again.
3. A charge of 1012 Rs for Internet Usage, if I had the i-Roam FREE @500 or the 7 day pack activated. How am I being charged for Internet. Also, none of these things were shown as unbilled amount on the app.
The sequence of Events-
1. on 29th morning I boarded a flight to Istanbul. I had not activated any packs until then.
2. When I reached Istanbul I urgently needed to call, msg and use the Internet to get in touch with my travel booking team. So I started the Internet and then checked the app, but there was no unbilled amount shown in the app.
3. I authorised to activate the 7 Day Rs 2999 pack on the app. I received a msg that the I-Roam Free Auto @500 pack was already active on my phone and that if I wanted the 2999 plan I would have to reapply. I then checked the app and it showed the validity of the I-Roam Free @ 500 plan till Jun 21. Also, I learned that it was available as a part of the RED Basic plan(Which I am using). So I used the Internet considering that I had a pack active. I then boarded a flight to Paris.
4. Upon arrival in Paris, I proceeded to buy a local European ‘Orange’ Sim as the cheaper and more apt option. I then received a msg that the i-Roam free AUTO @500 pack was deactivated and the Rs2999 pack was started(I never authorised the second activation). I then thought that okay, I can probably use the Internet, However, I was not sure so I didn’t use.
5. In the morning when I checked the app it showed a billing of 1012 for Internet Usage, which wasn’t there a day ago. At this point I was enraged. First of all two packs were activated without my consent. On top of that, I was now being. Billed for Internet usage!. If any of the packs were in use, then how can I be billed for Internet usage???? I proceeded to call the international customer care and my complaint was summarily refused. And they refused to call back.
On 2/04/2019 I receive an outstanding amount of 5711Rs with both packs and the Internet fee being charged. I have attached all evidence of the communication.
