I enrolled with shine.com to look for job opportunities. Within 4-5 hours I started receiving flurry of call from Job consultants, assuring me, confirmed job interviews within 48 hours.
One such call, I received, was from “proffesionsfy Group”, on 02 June 2023. One Mr Vinal Aggarwal, who introduced himself as Global HR Head – professionsfy Group, explained about the job vacancies matching my profile and asked me to pay a one-time fee of 4199 Rs to register with their Job Portal. They further explained that a unique Job code will be created, once registered
The pitch made by them was so compelling that I paid the company 4199 Rs. I received a payment acknowledgement and Job code from them almost immediately (from mail id: hr@professionsfy.com).
On perusing the mail, I became a bit suspicious about the job portal. The Payment acknowledgement was not in a proper invoice format and did not have any GST/tax details, payment method details etc. The job code (which they claimed was unique) was mentioned as 944762. A quick check in their website revealed that this Job code (944762) was publicly displayed in their “activate job code” section. I started searching the internet , to know more about the job portal. I came across a complaint (dtd 20 May 2023) regarding this job portal, wherein they have setup a fake interview call
Meanwhile, I received a mail from Mr Vinay Aggarwal (mail dtd 03 June 2023), confirming Job interview at a reputed company in Bangalore, on 05 June 2023. The job description was vague and this created more doubts about the job portal. Having read about the modus operandi, I thought of playing along with the job portal.
As explained in their mail, I received a skype call at 2:00 PM on 05 June 2023, supposedly from the recruiter company. The call did not go through, as video was not available. The recruiter company person told me to contact Vinay Aggarwal to solve this problem. By this time I got the sense that the Skype call was a set up and the sequence of events were matching with the earlier complaint against this professionsfy
