Text of Complaint by A K Sinha:

I had recharged Jio No 8368418834 for Rs 399/- with instant cash back of Rs 50/-(in effect  Rs 349/- only was deducted from my Credit Card) through MYJIO App on 4th July 2019. The money, Rs 349/- was deducted from my Standard Chartered Credit Card but NOT credited to my JIO Account till NOW.  In order to keep my Number going I therefore recharged it for Rs 149/-.

  1. Spoke to Customer care on 6th July and as advised by them, waited for 10 days for the money to be credited back to my Card account. Not being done so, I wrote to care@jio.com on 17th July 2019 for the money.
  2. As advised by care@jio.com, I contacted my Credit Card Company and received reply from them on 20th July 2019 that the money has NOT been refunded to them. They provided me the Merchant’s “Acquirer Reference Number 74332749186918528467843″ dated 5th July 2019 to which the payment was made by the Bank and requested me to re-check with Jio.

  1. I provided the said Acquirer Ref No to JioCare on 21st July 2019, and also informed them again (as enquired by them), that the payment was made through the Company’s MYJIO App. Further, I requested Jio Customer Care to check for the Acquirer Ref No for Both 4th and 5th July 2019, as the Bank intimated the Acquirer Ref No as being of 5th July, 2019.  Since then I have written 9 times and each time, 9 different Jio Customer Care Officers have provided me the same Copy Paste Replies, without even reading or responding to whether they have checked the Acquirer Ref No in their records;  each time finally saying “If the amount has been deducted from your account, then it will be credited back by your  bank within 10 days”

  1. You are requested to look into this case and resolve. Screen Shot of MyJio App payment shows the Transaction as “(UNPOSTED) JIOMONEY”.  I paid through saved Cedi Card on MyJio App and NOT JIOMONEY, which requires linking of a bank account, and I have not linked any bank account with any Jio software.

regards
