On the occasion of new year, there was a concept of Referral amount to be given to the Rapido Riders who refers the Rapido app to new Captains. The promised referral amount to be given to the refering captain based upon the number of rides completed by the new captain was INR 3500 for total of 100 rides. Upon the completion of target, the amount to be paid to the referring captain is deduced by more than 60%. Upon enquiring, rapido helpline number has provided a reason of multiple cancellation and wrong drop locations.
Let me explain each and every aspect corresponding to these criteria.
1). Multiple cancelation: Rapido app for client is provided with an option of cancellation of ride by mentioning that the captain has asked to do so. Which is completely stupid option. Just to exploit many more like me. Whosoever cancels the ride will never take the blame on him/herself as the rapido app has provided this beautiful jackpot for putting the blame over the poor captain. Moreover the algorithms used by the rapido app are so ill managed that a captain geographically more than 6km apart is being assigned to a person. Just by keeping common sense in mind, who will wait for the captain to arrive after covering 12s of kilometers just to go 2 km away. By doing so rapido provides another option to the client to exploit the poor captain by cancelling the ride. if by luck someone does not cancel the ride, the already exploited captain is given just 25 to 30 rupees for a 2km destination whose pick up was more than 6km. This is a clear mental torture and exploitation of an individual on humanitarian basis.
2). Wrong drop location: Clients are not always clever to pin point the drop location over the app resulting to an approximate drop. But at the time of arrival, if the captain drops him at the location provided by the rapido app and not the one desired by the client, rapido has again provided another of jackpot of low rating resulting into further exploitation of the captain. But, if the rider agrees to drop the client to the point near to his desired location (not agreed, but keeping in mind fear of rating and reputation) rapido marks that location to be a wrong drop and again mentions the ride to be a fake one.
