Text of Complaint by Karthikeyan:

Dear trai,

I am a videocon d2h user with customer id.167158411. Since from last 1 & 1/2 year, i am facing n no. Of issues regarding services of videocon d2h, which includes wrong add-on activation, frequent unfair balance deductions.

Fresh incident is regarding my activation of d2h active rhymes ,for which videocon d2h had advertised that they would charge rs1 but when I recharged my account t,they unfairly deducted the full amount for the above channel i.e RS 40.

I lodged a complaint with them at their customer care ,spoke to their customer representatives but nobody is ready to accept their mistake,They put my call on hold and then disconnected.

Earlier one of their engineers paid me a home visit since relay of one of the channels was not clear,the problem was not resolved,However an amount of rs 200 was deducted from my account I continued their services on their assurance of clean services in future but to my disappointment it has happened again
As it’s happening frequently i request you to intervene & provide resolution.

Lodging complaints again & again isn’t feasible with videocon d2h. They keep our call on hold for mammoth duration (30 min). Sometimes call gets disconnected & they don’t bother to call back. If we write email, they simply avoid to reply it.

Now i am so furious, that i even don’t want to use their services but unfortunately i have invested money in buying their useless products. I want my money back for the investment done on their set top box & umbrella.

I hope needful action will be initiated from your end & strict action will be taken against videocon d2h.

    We would like to inform you that the mentioned channel “Kids Active Rhymes” is activated as per your request on 26th July, which was a KKW offer time. On that period, the particular channel costs Rs.1. At the time of activation, the advisor communicated that the channel costs Rs.1 for the first month and in the next month it will be back to the normal price. Furthermore, we have not deducted any amount against service charges from your account.

    We regret the inconvenience caused to you while contacting us. Moreover, we would like to inform you that we do not disconnect calls from our end but sometimes call get disconnected due to telecommunication network issues which are beyond our control. We have captured your feedback for further service improvement and we don’t have any refund policy for discontinuation of services. Kindly let us know if you need any further assistance.
