Text of Complaint by Umesh Chand:

I had booked flight ticket (spicejet flight) from makemytrip.com in July 2021 from Gorakhpur to Mumbai (travel date was 31 July 2021). Before one day of travel spicejet airlines had rescheduled the flight to next day (1st Aug 2021) and there was no other flight on the same day. I have also done RT PCR test which becomes invalid if I catch flight on 1st Aug. So I called spicejet and initiated flight cancellation. They said I will get full refund. After 2-3 days I got refund but that was not the amount which I paid. I checked makemytrip website and found that they have deducted Rs870 as Convenience Fee charges. I don’t know why they are charging if airlines itself rescheduling their flights. Why should customer bare a loss if he has not change anything. Its a airlines issue and customer has to bare a loss.
