We had ordered 10 unicorn cups from Amazon for our daughter’s 10th birthday. When
the delivery came only 1 cup arrived, even though we had paid for 10 cups, not to mention delivery charges. On calling Amazon, they kept saying it was the vendor’s fault and that it was no fault of theirs. Rather amazing since they took the company had no hesitation on taking money from us on the vendor’s behalf. After some discussion (talking to 4 people in various call centers) they agreed to refund us for 9 cups, but not for the delivery charges (which presumably is by weight). So we wound up paying a lot of money for just 1 cup. Moreover, the cups we ordered were no longer available on the portal, which is why the vendor probably sent 1 cup in the first place, hoping they could get away with this. We had to scramble to find return gifts for our daughter’s birthday, not to mention undergo the trauma of dealing with extremely unconcerned staff at the various call centers. As far as I am concerned a real life shopkeeper would not have the gall to behave the way Amazon did, and I will try and avoid ordering with them again.
