I have made an excess payment of INR 6300 by my credit card on 7th January (Receipt No:6300) and I had immediately called up Airtel Customer Care and requested for a refund (Ref No: 89212415) on my bank account number (ICICI Bank A/c 370901502181). The Customer care representative informed that it will take 6-7 working days. I waited and when I did not get the refund I called up on 21st Jan and I spoke with one of the floor supervisors, informed him that I have to pay my card bill by 26th Jan or else I will pay interest for my late payment, lodged a complaint (Ref No: 89380039) he informed the refund was not processed on 7thJan, it was processed on 18th Jan which was a shock for me. So he said I have to again wait for 6-7 working days from 18th Jan. The blunder he did he queued it to the online store team which was never the case, I got a call from them and told them it was not their issue as it was issue of excess payment they closed the case and nothing happened.
So I waited for almost 8-9 working days and called again on 30th Jan, spoke with Mritunjoy Singh, raised a complaint again (Ref No: 89484241) which he did the same mistake as the previous supervisor, queued it to the online store. He committed that he will take max 48 hours and the money will get credited to my account number & also promised that he will call me back for the same on 1st Feb by 6 PM which he never did, such is the service level to the customers. So on 31st Jan I again got a call from an onlinestore so I conferenced the call again with another supervisor Aditya and tried & solve the misunderstanding. Aditya advised me to send my bank statement to 121@in.airtel.com which I did immediately and he also said he will try to get the money credited in the bank account by 1st Feb. I called up again on 1stFeb around 6.30 PM and spoke with floor manager Bob who again said within 24 hours my problem would be resolved but nothing has happened yet.
So another person Chandrasheel called me on 4th February and informed he will be taking care of my case as he is from higher management. My bank requested me to ask for some details to check where exactly the money is stuck as I send them the receipt number provided by Airtel for processing of refund. I forwarded that email to them 2 days back but still they have not responded back.
It’s been month since I have requested for a refund. I request to lodge a complaint against Airtel for not refunding the money and incompetent customer service.
