| Hi. I ordered for a refrigerator through flipkart (order ref noOD114013401912112000) and it was delivered to me on 30th Nov 2018. Their technician has visited on 3rd Dec 2018 for installation but it was found defective (Minor dent on right side of refrigerator) when box was unpacked. Then I talked to customer care for replacement, they said it cannot be replaced as stock is not available, so only return with refund option is available. But at the time of booking of order, customer care has told me, product can be replaced in case of any kind of damage and never said that it cannot be replaced due to stock out with seller. When I checked to order again for the refrigerator , then I found either refrigerator is not available for my location or if available its on higher cost. Then I made mind to keep refrigerator with small defect and asked them to give me compensation for small defect on refrigerator. But they said either return with refund or keep it, no other option is available. And said in return policy, its mentioned that if replacement is not possible, refund will be given but it was never said to me when I talked to customer care about replacement at the time of booking. My query is that why should I bear 1. extra cost due to higher price of same refrigerator, if I return & get refund or 2. the damage , if I keep same refrigerator. So requesting you to look into it to help me to get compensation for damage in refrigerator as I am starting to use this refrigerator because they are replacing it and same refrigerator is not available for my location. Most importantly, if they provide compensation, it will save their cost of transportation and defective product will be sold at good price. Here I am attaching picture of damage. Kindly resolve |
