Text of Complaint by Nipun Agarwal:

I am a vodafone customer for more than 5 years. I use a prepaid service. My Service validity was going to be expired between 31st July 2021 and 1st August 2021 and on 4th August a deduction was made from my main balance of Rs 128 without seeking my permission to extend the validity. Moreover the recharge process that was initiated by the company was at midnight as no customer service is available on that time. On connecting with customer care on 4th August 2021 at 10:03 a.m. they are simply blaming me for not doing the recharge on time when validity was ending (I agree that vodafone sent reminders and plan to recharge with, but no pop up or any kind of recharge was initiated by me and there has been no confirmation from my end to initiate such a recharge). Customer care simply blamed me only and on asking refund, they simply told that it can’t be refunded as per company policy. This recharge that they have done us useless. I even tried to ask them to change the plan atleast so that it would be useful to me, but they didn’t accepted that also. Vodafone has no rights to take any decision on their own about the recharge status. They can only inform me but xant initiate any recharge without seeking permission from me. This is a kind of theft. The sole decision whether to proceed with a recharge or not with Vodafone is on me. So, how can vodafone have rights to do whatever they want with my Main balance. Vodafone has betrayed the customer and should be held accountable for that.
