I had to travel to Germany on 25th November and i got international roaming pack of 2999 for 7 days just before leaving India. This was successfully activated through the Vodafone App on my mobile. All of sudden on 27th morning my cellular network was deactivated. I didn’t understand the reason and was almost stranded in this country without being able to call / contact anyone. I chatted with the Vodafone customer care – with four people – Meena, Reyansh, Kunal and a supervisor Marc. They informed me that mu unbilled amount has exceeded the credit limit of 5000 INR. I was more than willing to clear it but couldn’t because for the credit card/net banking payment, i would need OTP to complete the transaction and without cellular network that was not possible. Upon repeated requests also he customer care was so insensitive and completely failed to understand my difficult situation of not being able to contact anyone for the help as well. Their solution was to request friends/relatives in Germany to help. Reyansh promised me that he has raised a request for reactivation of 48 hours and it will be reactivated in 30 mins and when that hadn’t happened, i again approached and chatted with Kunal and his supervisor Marc with no avail.
I just cannot understand why the roaming was activated in first place if it was exceeding the credit limit. How do i know the unbilled amount when bill itself is not generated. It is utter irresponsibility, complete lack of understanding, absence of empathy and customer care on part of Vodafone and i am extremely disappointed with their services. I am shocked and speechless at the behavior of this service and still am facing the issue. Finally i could reached out to my brother in India who made 5000 INR payment 8 hours ago and still the network is not reactivated.
The inconvenience it has put me through cannot be put in words. I am suffering without any mistake of mine because of your so called policies in a different country.
