I ordered AOSmith 25 ltr geyser 20 days back and received a deffective/damaged product after 6-7 days. It was having multiple scratches on the body and a big hole covered with white tape.
Then raised request for replacement and asked to send genuine unused product this time.
Again they sent deffective/damaged product which is having hole on its body which is covered with similar tape.
Also, the label period of the product is Jan 2019 – June 2021. But they have sold it in Nov 2021. Looks like they bought some old lot of damaged products from company and are selling it online.
On raising issue, first they asked me to check with manufacturer(AO Smith) and upon raising complaint again, the executive confirmed that it is as per designed by AO Smith.
Today, I confirmed from AO Smith over call that they don’t sell same model with such hole and tape anywhere. Same thing I verified from market as well.
It has caused much inconvenience that I couldn’t use the geyser from last 20-25 days due to these issues and had to call and email several times to Amazon and AO Smith.
I also checked some reviews on amazon and some people have reported same “hole” issue.
So, the point is they are cheating customers on the name of big discounts and they don’t mention that the product is refurbished or defective/damaged. They are selling the damaged products again and again. This time the seller is Amazon’s owned Cloudtail
They are fooling people these days. I have many such experiences these days.
They should stop this practice of fooling people.
