Text of Complaint by Selvan:

I had a balance of around 90,000 in my SBI credit card. Bank manager called me on 16th of June 2021 asking for restructuring my pending dues. Due to pandemic I lost my job and I clearly told him that if my 1st due starts in August 2021 I can accept restructuring my EMI otherwise I do not want to proceed with the option. He clearly confirmed me that the 1st due will come in 17th of August 2021, so I accepted for restructuring my EMI. I paid my first due on August 2021 after two weeks I started getting calls from collection agency saying that one month due is pending, I clearly told them that my 1st due starts in August and I already made the payment so and so date but they told me that my EMI started in July 2021 also asking me to check letter sent by bank through my personal email. Then I checked my email it is mentioned that the first due starts in July. Also note that the EMI date changed to “Immediate” because of non payment of July month also started to put late payment fees. Called customer care and discussed with them but there is no solution then I sent an email to customer care along with the voice record (Restructuring discussion with bank manager) I just got a SMS reply saying that you ar not eligible. No reply to my email. After repeated follow up they just reversed the additional fee but they did not cancelled my July due.

Collection agents calls me on daily basis and I have to explain to them half an hour, it is a kind of mental harassment I am getting every day. Have sent few emails to bank explaining all issues but no response from bank side. Raised complain through Ombudsman but the complaint got rejected as bank confirms them that “Pending payment” (which is not my fault).

Manager cheated me at the time of restructuring my EMI, every month they are charging late payment fee etc…more than that I am getting calls from collection agents on daily basis and they are harassing me.

Till today Jan 2023 I am paying my dues as per my commitment (except July 2021 due) but the agents torturing me for late payment fees.. What should I do?
