E-1 Shanti Co-op Housing Society,
Vodafone no. 9819656030
My contact number: 9920590421
I have been trying to reach out to CSRs multiple times and the Vodafone Nodal Officer but no proper response. They are only sending inflated bills and there is no value for a customer complaint at Vodafone.
——————————-
I have been a customer of Vodafone for several years and had 3 numbers viz. 9920590421, 9324308291 and 9819656030.
Being fed up of inflated bills and half-hearted support or no support from Vodafone Customer care over a period of time I ported out the first 2 numbers. The number – 9819656030 is being used by my father who is a senior citizen (74 yrs).
There had been a major issue with International roaming rates applied on my father’s phone (9819656030) with unreasonable charges applied (Rs. 19,000/-). I had clearly mentioned all the details in a mail complaint (also included in the below email) with all the sequence of events. However, all customer representatives who I communicated with just had only one thing to repeat that “you have used International Roaming” and did not have any further discussion, as if they would not understand anything. This was extremely unprofessional, ignorant and adamant behaviour I experienced in so many years. Further more, whenever there would be a followup call from Vodafone, it would invariably get cut as soon as the call would connect. Additionally every CSR would ask me to narrate the whole issue again and again, though I had clearly mentioned it in the mail which was supposedly accessible to some CSRs and some mentioned that they don;t see any such complaint email.
My dad was facing major issues since the Outgoing was stopped, I paid up the 19K and tried to again pursue the issue, I also raised a Complaint from the Customer Complaint page, However, now if I see , it shows no complaints registered. To add to this my dad received another SMS saying Aug bill amount is Rs. 6000+ which is extremely stressful for a senior citizen to see. Is this the new way Vodafone is trying to treat its customers? This is really outrageous to say the least.
You could check the entire history of all my 3 phone nos. and you would see that I have never defaulted or delayed any payments since last several years, inspite of getting inflated bills now and then, and getting no suitable help or assistance from Vodafone customer service.
I would expect someone to please look into this issue or atleast direct me to the right person who would be responsible enough to look into this issue and help for a resolution.
One request is to direct any further communication of this to my number – 9920590421 / 7977612292, because its extremely stressful for my father to communicate with the Vodafone CSRs who do not have the intent and professionalism of catering to issues.
Kindly let me know what could be done from my end. Appreciate a response to this email, or atleast direct me to someone in Vodafone who would be responsible to respond.
Regards,
Viren Talgeri

Vodafone Complaint for 9819656030
=======Original mail complaint on July 3rd 2018 which was blatantly not given any consideration=====
1. I had activated just one time USA International pack of ₹ 5000/- on my father’s number starting 19th April,,2018 which was valid for 28 days.
2. After choosing the pack, I had confirmed with Vodafone care that its validity is only 28 days, after which I would renew if its required.
There was no mention at that point, by Customer care , that I would have to explicitly call up and request to turn off International roaming.
3. One can observe that after the deactivation of the pack, there was no outgoing or incoming calls made, Since we did not want any international roaming after completion of the pack.
4. Around first week of June I got a call from Vodafone customer care saying that I had a bill of around 10,000/- on that number (9819656030). i immediately told them thats its an abberation, to which he person said that they would check and within 24 hours I would get a call to clarify this. However there was no call from Vodafone.
5. When I called back after 3-4 days I was told there was an outstanding amount of 15,000/-. I immediately asked them to shut of whatever services are there and port out the number, to whoch they said port out request can only be done via sms from that particular phone number. They however changed the plan to a minimum 99₹ plan
6. Later the outgoing from that number was stopped by Vodafone.
7. The Bill for May 2018 was ₹515 /- which I had paid on time.
8. If I would need any kind of International roaming beyond 16 th May , I would have renewed the ₹5000/- plan.
9. Its clearly seems like Vodafone “care” is taking advantage of ambiguity and not helping with proactive, timely assistance to its customers. It just shows an attitude of taking advantage to milk the customer s on such exhorbitant packs and features.
10. I have faced similar issues with extra data charges on other 2 of my number s viz. 9920590421 and 9324308291, but I have always borne the brunt of this ambiguity and selective communication from Vodafone for advantage.
However I have never asked for revocation of charges or waiver in any case. You can check past history of all my 3 numbers.
But the current incident is something which is totally unacceptable and this will only compell me to discontinue all my associations with Vodafone.
