Respected Sir/Madam,
I, Kalaiyarasan, resident of Tamil Nadu, am writing this complaint to bring to your kind notice a serious violation of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Online Gambling and Regulation of Online Games Act, 2022 (as amended).
As per the Act, all real-money online gaming is strictly banned between 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. in Tamil Nadu. However, the app ZUPEE has allowed me to play real-money games during these prohibited hours.
Due to this illegal access, I have suffered severe mental stress and a huge financial loss. I lost an amount of Rs. 2,00,000 (Two Lakhs) , which was spent/played continuously also they allowed play between 12:00 a.m.to 5:00 a.m. on 3rd July 2025, because the company violated the law and failed to block access during prohibited hours.
I belong to a middle-class family and every single rupee I earn is through my hard work and sweat. Because of this loss, I am now under heavy debt from various sources and am facing constant pressure from lenders. I am suffering from sleepless nights and severe mental agony.
I assure you that I will never play such online games again in future of my life. I humbly request your kind authority to help me recover my entire lost amount along with compensation to overcome this situation.
Therefore, I request you to kindly:
1. Take strict legal action against ZUPEE for violating the Tamil Nadu Online Gaming Prohibition Act.
2. Direct the company to refund my total loss of Rs. 2,00,000 (Two Lakhs).
3. Award an additional compensation of Rs.1,90,000 for the mental agony and harassment caused.
4. Ban this app for repeatedly violating Tamil Nadu Government rules.
