I am writing to bring to your attention a serious matter regarding my recent experience with Tata Play’s services.

Approximately 6 months ago, my set-top box malfunctioned, necessitating a visit from a Tata Play executive who replaced the box and charged me 475 Rs. I provided 500 Rs in cash, with the understanding that the excess would be adjusted towards recharging. After the replacement, my family and I were away from home. Upon our return, the newly replaced set-top box encountered technical problems. My attempts to contact Tata Play’s customer care were met with three disconnections, reflecting extremely poor service.

I escalated the issue to your nodal office, along with an email referencing complaint number 4MZR1TNM. In response, Tata Play assured me that the set-top box was under warranty and would be replaced free of charge. When I inquired about any associated charges, your nodal office stated that no fees would be levied, including for the technician’s visit. However, upon the technician’s arrival, he insisted on a 200 Rs visit fee. After a lengthy discussion, I confirmed this with your nodal office via a speakerphone call. Eventually, the technician agreed to waive the fee.

Subsequently, upon recharging my account with 300 Rs, I was dismayed to find only 74 Rs credited. Upon investigation, I discovered that the negative balance was due to a deduction from the set-top box replacement 6 months earlier.

Now, as I lodge this complaint once again, I realize that the deducted amount has exacerbated the negative balance. I am seeking an explanation from Tata Play as to why the deducted amount of 475 Rs, which I had paid to the technician in cash during the replacement, was debited from my account. It is imperative that this amount be promptly returned to my account. Regrettably, my previous complaint received no response, and my subsequent attempts were disregarded.

I demand a thorough clarification of the unauthorized deduction and a swift resolution to rectify the negative balance. The lack of response and inadequate customer support from Tata Play is disheartening.

I anticipate an immediate investigation into this matter and a comprehensive response within a reasonable timeframe. Neglecting this complaint will further erode my faith in Tata Play’s commitment to customer satisfaction.
