Text of Complaint by Amit Ojha:

Madam/Sir

I have made a claim under Airtel Secure for my secured iPhone on 24th Nav. 2020 the claim id was 5491998. I had uplaoded all required documents. On 26th I received a call and they informed me that your claim could not be process as per the term and condition (Point no. 2 under section 2.2 which is “Accidental Damage means Physical or Liquid damage to the covered  Product due to drop or collision of the covered Product or any object falling on the covered  Product, caused due to accidental external means. It is that damage which occurs due to external causes that are not under the user’s direct control”.

I clearly mentioned in claim that I was on way to my home after picking my 4 year daughter. In between I stopped to buy Vicks Stripselis as she was having throat infection. The road where I stopped was the busy road and some work of digging on road was also going on. When I was getting out of my car she was sitting on the back.  At the same time she also asked me to come out from car but I didnt want her to come out of the car because of heavy traffic and the work which was going on the road. Just try to understand that, in situation like this where I have to take care of my daughter in heavy traffic and as well as the vehicle passing through the road, my phone just fall down from my hand which I took in hand for paying (records available for paying through Paytm).

Please imagine the situation where I have to take care of my daughter and myself against the heavy vehicle (I remember school bus some other heavy vehicle passing during incident). In my opinion the incident took place due external force (heavy traffic and work on road in which I have to take care of my daughter and myself) which was not in my control.

Madam/Sir, I am physically ok guy and know how to hold my phone since last 20 years. When Airtel secure called me I was busy in buying Birthday Cake (coming 29th Jan) and told her to call me on monday so I can explain everything to her. But she refused and told me the same we will discuss what now we are discussing. I told to intimate about your decision on mail and she said yes she will do it. Till now I didnt receive mail from airtel secure. It is true that i didnt explain about incident in detail which I am doing now. But at time  of claim I thought that the main content (brief) of the incident should be given. But after getting call from airtel secure I recalled the whole incident and sharing the same now. I think instead of writing the incident it could be more easy to explain/understand the incident through telephone talk. I am sure if you see CCTV footage if installed on that road you can understand it happened due to external force which was not in my control.

I am also class one officer in Government of India and will not make any false statement in any case.

In view of above please review my claim.
