Text of Complaint by Kasthuri Prashanth:

My husband had taken loan of Rs 1.7 lakh with the rate of interest 20 % for the period of 36 months from IDFC bank in the year 2022. On 2nd of every month the money gets deducted and the monthly deduction is rupees 8700 ( with interest ). He had been paying his loan every month without fail but due to personal commitments he couldn’t pay his loan on 2nd May 2023 but he did pay his loan on 22nd May 2023 that’s within 20 days. Till then we were getting threatening calls from customer agents asking us to pay our EMI loan immediately though we asked them time till 30th of May.
The customer agents from IDFC bank began threatening, torturing and abusing us using vulgar languages day and night. One of them was a lady called Neha, she was using WhatsApp call to talk to us and this ruthlessly lady was very abusive. She spoke very badly to me and my husband when we confronted and asked her to be respectful, not only that she and one of her friend also used abusive languages while talking. When we insisted them to talk to us through normal call ( so that their voice can be recorded as a proof) they refused to do instead continued calling us through WhatsApp. When we blocked those whatsapp numbers, again and again they were WhatsApp calling using different numbers ( 7624823255, 9538016934 and 9380359707 ) When we tried contacting them through normal call and found out that these two ladies ( Neha and her friend) use these numbers only to abuse the customer, calling them through WhatsApp.
Everyday ( day and night )we had gone through this kind of verbal harassment from the IDFC customer agent Neha. We felt as if IDFC bank hire goons to recover loan from customers and shocked to see their third class behaviour towards the customers.
