Honorable Members of the Consumer Court,
I, the undersigned, submit this formal complaint against Varafi.com, a third-party travel services provider, regarding a booking transaction for flight tickets made on their platform, with the following specific details:
• Booking ID: VID0093926248 & VID5563225078 (Roundtrip ticket)
• Date and Time of Booking: 20th December at 8.16 PM
On 30th January 2023, at 6 PM, I received electronic communication from Varafi.com indicating the abrupt termination of my booking. Subsequently, I have endeavored to communicate with their customer support through their provided helpline number (at 01246434888) and electronic mail address (at support@varafi.com). Regrettably, I have encountered persistent impediments in securing a resolution or a refund for the monetary outlay attributed to the aforementioned flight tickets.
The protracted inaction and inadequate responses furnished by Varafi.com in response to my persistent inquiries over the span of six months have occasioned substantial detriment to my person. I have suffered both pecuniary and non-pecuniary losses as a direct consequence of Varafi.com’s failure to perform their obligations under the booking agreement. Furthermore, their disregard for transparent and timely communication is demonstrative of unfair trade practices and a flagrant contravention of consumer rights.
The nature of my complaint revolves around a pattern of deceptive and fraudulent conduct on the part of Varafi.com, which constitutes a material breach of the Consumer Protection Act (consumer protection act, 2019 -: Act no- 35).
In light of the circumstances delineated above, I respectfully beseech this esteemed Consumer Court to lend due consideration to the gravity of my complaint and undertake the initiation of appropriate legal proceedings against Varafi.com.
The restitution sought is twofold:
• An unconditional and expeditious refund of the entirety of the sum paid in consideration for the flight tickets, as evidenced by the accompanying supporting documents.
• Commensurate compensation to redress the pecuniary losses incurred, in conjunction with non-pecuniary damages stemming from the protracted ordeal, as an aggrieved consumer.
I have diligently gathered and appended relevant documentary evidence encompassing the booking confirmation, correspondence exchanged with Varafi.com, and documentation of the financial transaction for your perusal and consideration.
Resolute in my attempt to effect an amicable resolution, I remain constrained to pursue legal recourse in light of Varafi.com’s persistent non-compliance with basic consumer expectations and the principles undergirding consumer protection legislation.
I implore this Honorable Consumer Court to adjudicate upon this matter with an equitable and impartial disposition, such that justice is duly served, and the sanctity of consumer rights is upheld.
