Dear Sir/Madam,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a serious issue that I encountered during my recent train journey from Mumbai to Varanasi on Train No. 11061, PNr No.8205934600, the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) to Varanasi Junction Express.
I embarked on my journey from Mumbai on 22 july 2023 , and as a responsible and law-abiding passenger, I purchased a valid ticket for my travel. However, to my dismay, I observed that a significant number of local passengers were traveling without tickets on the same train. These individuals seemed to have forcibly occupied seats and berths, causing inconvenience to the genuine ticket-holding passengers, including myself.
The situation not only posed a security risk but also led to overcrowding in the coach, making it uncomfortable and unsafe for the authorized passengers. The presence of unauthorized travelers not only violates the rules and regulations set by the Indian Railways but also impacts the revenue generated by the railway system, ultimately affecting its overall efficiency.
I wish to request the authorities to take swift and appropriate action to address this matter. I urge you to conduct regular ticket checks during train journeys and implement measures to prevent unauthorized travel. Steps should also be taken to raise awareness among passengers about the importance of purchasing valid tickets and adhering to the rules and regulations set forth by the Indian Railways.
Moreover, it would be beneficial if the Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel could be deployed more frequently to patrol the coaches and take prompt action against any individual found traveling without a valid ticket.
I believe that by addressing this issue, we can create a safer and more comfortable environment for all passengers. This will not only promote a sense of trust and satisfaction among travelers but also enhance the reputation of the Indian Railways as a reliable mode of transportation.
I am enclosing a copy of my ticket and the details of my journey for your reference. I kindly request you to investigate this matter thoroughly and take necessary actions to prevent such incidents in the future.
