I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Ramakrishna Logistics, Andheri, Mumbai, regarding the transportation of my Skoda Slavia car from Pune to Gurgaon.
I booked their car transportation service based on a quotation of ₹12,000. Before confirming the booking, I specifically asked whether there would be any additional or extra charges apart from the quoted ₹12,000. Their representative clearly confirmed in writing that there would be no extra charges. I have retained the relevant WhatsApp/message communication as proof.
Based on this confirmation, I agreed to proceed with the booking and entrusted my vehicle to Ramakrishna Logistics.
However, at the time of delivery of the vehicle in Gurgaon, their representative suddenly demanded an additional ₹12,000, making the total amount ₹24,000, despite the earlier written confirmation that there would be no additional charges.
This is completely unacceptable because:
The agreed quotation was ₹12,000.
I specifically asked whether there would be any additional charges before booking.
Ramakrishna Logistics clearly confirmed in writing that there would be no extra charges.
The additional demand of ₹12,000 was made only at the time of delivery, after the vehicle had already been transported.
I have documentary evidence/messages supporting the agreed price and their confirmation regarding the absence of additional charges.
I consider this conduct to be misleading and unfair, particularly because the additional charge was demanded after the service had already been provided and when I was in a difficult position to refuse payment because my vehicle was being delivered.
I therefore request that the concerned authority take appropriate action against Ramakrishna Logistics and direct them to:
Honour the originally agreed quotation of ₹12,000;
Refund the additional ₹12,000 collected/demanded from me, if already paid;
Investigate the practice of confirming one price in writing and subsequently demanding additional money at the time of vehicle delivery; and
Take appropriate action under the applicable consumer protection laws for misleading/unfair business practices.
I am attaching/providing copies of the relevant evidence, including:
Original quotation/booking details showing ₹12,000;
Written communication confirming no additional charges;
Payment proof;
Delivery details;
Any communication demanding the additional ₹12,000; and
Other relevant documents/messages.
I request that this complaint be taken seriously and that appropriate relief be provided to me.
