This is regarding Hathway broadband prepaid connection account no.  1160340671. I have stopped using any Hathway services after January 2019. But till date Hathway Pune is disturbing me and threating me with messages to pay for not returning their modem device or else they will take legal action. I do not use their services anymore, neither do I have their modem device

As a group of 3/4 people, we jointly started using hathway in 2018 in Pune. Although initially my number was registered, after I left pune in January 2019, my flatmates continued to use hathway and then the ownership and registered number was changed. While leaving pune, I had contacted hathway customer care pune several times to change the account registered number to other number that belonged to my flatmates who were using hathway after me. At that time one of the pune customer care representatives promised that they will transfer the ownership and change the registered number and i need not follow up. I still used to get unnecessary spam messages from hathway. So i even dropped them a mail last year saying that I am not using Hathway services since January 2019, and please change the registered number. And no one, responded to my mail at that time also.

Now suddenly after almost 1.5 years hathway is messaging me that i need to pay them for not returning their device, and threatening me of legal actions if their device is not submitted.

To Hathway, I am not using your services since January 2019. I have all proof for that. I have requested you many times to contact the actual people who used your services/made all payments after January 2019 and has the modem device. Then why are you even reaching out to me? Didn’t i already ask you people to change the registered number to which you had replied “madam ho jayga”. Didn’t i already ask you to contact the persons who were using your service after me? I even shared their contact details with you in email to [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]. It is Hathway’s fault that they did not remove my number in their system last year. Then why should i suffer, and why should i pay? And it was a prepaid connection too. And when i complain to Hathway regarding this, these hathway people are like, give us a proof that you requested for number change. Why? I am not answerable to you for your irresponsibility and bad services. That was a telephonic conversation in 2019 with the local people and you guys happily said “madam ho jayga number change”. But still i sent them the mail screenshot that i had sent last year. Still no one responded to that. Hathway has really very bad customer care service and whatever they are doing to me is unethical.

To all the hathway people, if you are not responsible enough it’s your fault not mine. Don’t irritate customers. And do not hold customers at fault or guilty. Stop harassing customers. You are harassing me when I am not even responsible or using your services since Jan2019. And when i am saying contact the actual other persons who used hathway services, you are not ready to even listen to me. Change your processes before blaming customers. And stop reaching out to non hathway customers. What is this pathetic service from Hathway to not take steps at the right time and then after almost 2 years Hathway harasses and mistrusts ex-customers and even behave rudely? You people do not work on your systems and try to threaten us for giving money by sending messages.

Since January 2019, I have been calling the customer service, sending mails. Even my flat-mates kept calling them to change the ownership and mobile phone number. Still they did not do their own work.

To Hathway, you simply remember customers when you need money. And when you need to do your own responsibility/services, you forget everything and threaten and harass people.

Since Jan 2019, I have been repeatedly calling Hathway and asking for mobile number and ownership change and clearly said that I am not even involved for the last 1.5 years. But it is Hathway’s irresponsibility and their fault that they never bothered to remove my number form their system.

And this is also regarding a customer service representative named Mr. VasudevDatta in Pune. This person has been continuously communicated that there is change in ownership and that I should not be called for any reason that is related to this account. But he has not conveyed this to the higher management, he does not even read/understand my mails properly. And whenever he is called the next time, he disagrees to what he had himself assured that this problem will be fixed. He says: “madam aisa nei hota hai, aise baat nei hui thi”. I have all recording and proof and mails that I am not using hathway services since January 2019 and I have told them several times about this to change ownership number, but they never tried to resolve this matter and I should not be contacted for any reason now. I have also proof that their actual customers should be contacted for any purpose and strictly not me. This account is deactivated and people who used this after Jan 2019 have also contacted Hathway to resolve this matter, but Hathway is not even proactively handling this issue. I hope these entire details reaches the Hathway higher management in Pune.
