Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing to file a formal complaint against Go First Airlines for their failure to provide a refund for the tickets I had booked and subsequently cancelled on June 27, 2023. This incident has caused significant financial inconvenience and distress to me, and I seek your intervention to resolve this matter.
The details of the complaint are as follows:

Flight Details:
Departure: MALE ( Velana international airport)
Arrival: Bangalore (Kempegowda International Airport)
Ticket Cancellation:
On Feb 19, 2023, I had booked tickets for the aforementioned flight, intending to travel with Go First Airlines. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, Go First Airlines cancelled our tickets in the last few days leading up to the scheduled departure.
Refund Request:
Following the cancellation by Go First Airlines, I promptly requested a refund for the tickets. However, despite multiple attempts to contact the airline’s customer service and submission of the required documentation, I have not received the promised refund as of the date of this complaint.
Financial Loss and Inconvenience:
The failure to receive the refund for the cancelled tickets has resulted in a significant financial loss, causing me great inconvenience and frustration. I had to make alternative travel arrangements at my own expense, and the unrefunded amount has not been returned to me.
Attempts for Resolution:
I have made repeated attempts to resolve this matter directly with Go First Airlines, but their response has been unsatisfactory. They have not provided any clear reasons for the delay in processing the refund.
I kindly request the Consumer Forum to investigate this matter and take appropriate action against Go First Airlines for their failure to refund the amount for the cancelled tickets, which is a clear violation of consumer rights. I seek the following resolutions:
A full refund of the ticket amount as per the airline’s refund policy.
Compensation for the financial loss, inconvenience, and mental distress caused due to this delay.
Adequate punitive action against Go First Airlines for their negligence in handling consumer complaints.
I am ready to provide any further information or documentation that may be required for the resolution of this matter. I request your prompt attention and action in this regard, as I believe that my rights as a consumer have been violated.
