Text of Complaint by Vijayanand Iyer:

My name is Vijayanand Iyer. I am a Vodafone customer for more than 13 years now. I had taken this number as a corporate number. From the start till date, I had been paying my bills regularly through Auto Debit(ECS) from my Canara Bank savings account.

For the due date Aug-2020, suddenly the amount was not debited from my account by Vodafone. I am currently staying in Virar and my savings account is in Tilak Nagar, Chembur, Mumbai, branch of Canara Bank. Since I could not travel in the current pandemic time, I visited the nearest Vodaofone store as I could not get any resolution from Vodafone customer care in multiple attempts. The store person told me that my Auto Debit had stopped, without my knowledge or verification. He said that to activate auto debit, the SIM of my number has to be changed from Mumbai circle to MNG circle. He told me rest everything will remain the same. I agreed and the SIM was transferred to MNG circle. Suddenly on 15th Aug 2020, I was unable to access the one-year Amazon Prime and Zee5 benefits on my number, which I had activated in May 2020.
Again I called up the customer care who shockingly mentioned that I had the benefits deactivated. Why would I do that? After failed and multiple attempts to explain them that I had not done anything, they kept on repeating just one line “As per system, hum kuch nahi kar sakte hain.” I again went to that same Vodafone store on 17th Aug 2020 and the same Vodafone person who created this havoc did not even listen completely to my issue and mentioned that the system is not working and he will call me by 9.30 am on 18th Aug 2020. Today is 19th Aug 2020 and I have still not got the call. I do not have the time to visit the store again as I am a working professional. I believe madam, that after reading this you can imagine from my state of mind.

I have attached the mail from Vodafone customer care, which mentions that the services got deactivated due to SIM and circle change. I have also attached the mail from Amazon customer care, which also specifies that the services has been cancelled by the biller(Vodafone).

I humbly request you to please look into this problem at priority.
