Vodafone have blocked an IMEI number on a device that was purchased with o2. The phone was not reported as lost or stolen and permission for the phone to be blocked was not given to vodafone. We have contacted vodafone a number of times in regards to this issue. Their customer service team are not helpful at all. They are not rectifying their mistake. The phone was purchased from o2 and had been blocked by vodafone after my brother used the phone, when his vodafone phone had broke. After he took his sim out and his daughter had put her sim back in, the phone was blocked. I called up myself on 18/05/19 and had been told we would recieve a unblocking code. We didn’t. I called up again on 21/05/19 and I was told the IMEI number had been blacklisted. Then I called on 22/05/19 because we received the email attached. The vodafone sim was used in the phone for more than 30 days. But the device wasn’t purchased by vodafone for it to have been automatically blocked. Each time I’ve called I’ve been on the phone for more than 45 minutes at a time. The customer service is disgusting on 22/05/19.
