Text of Complaint by Guguloth padma:

I’m a widow, handicapped, tribal women staying aLoan for the past 10 years.Last month I’ve raised a complaint about excess electricity being charged, the line man has checked the meter and confirmed that the meter is not working properly. I had informed the AE she said that she has raised a complaint for the same. But to my surprise this month they took the same meter reading which is rs.135/- and arrears rs.2768 total Rs.2903/- and i informed AE about this, she asked me to pay the bill including previous arrears which is around Rs.3000/- . Eaelier I have been paying excess bills which is nearly Rs. 1000/- per month for 4 months. Hence I stopped paying for the past 3 months.Now even after knowing that the meter reading is wrong they are asking me to pay entire amount. when my meter is not working why should I pay wrong meter amount which I have not used. I am a widow staying aLoan not using too many electronic gadgets.I have a fridge and TV and no other electronic gadgets are available with me. I took the help of my children who are staying in Hyderabad and raised the complaint online.The AE is also reluctant to sign the letter which I’m submitting to her so that I may raise a complaint to consumer services dept. Kindly look into the matter and help me.
