Text of Complaint by Nitin Sharma:

BP NUMBER 4001316592, I have received one or two bills that include an additional charge of ₹500, labeled as ‘Additional Consumption (SD).’ Typically, bills are calculated as follows: Number of days × Units consumed during this period × Rate per unit + VAT; however, on occasion, they add an extra ₹500 under the guise of ‘Additional Consumption (SD).’ When I spoke with an IGL representative, they informed me that this amount is refundable. Upon asking when this refund would be issued, they stated that it would only be returned if I permanently terminated my IGL connection. Please note that I have not permanently terminated my connection, nor do I have any intention of doing so for the next 30–40 years; consequently, a substantial sum will remain deposited in IGL’s funds. I am not the only individual facing this issue; there are many others utilizing IGL’s PNG service from whom IGL is similarly collecting an additional ₹500. Just imagine the colossal sum that will accumulate in IGL’s funds under the pretext of ‘Additional Consumption (SD).’
I earnestly request that you put an end to these exploitative practices by IGL, or alternatively, ensure that this amount is refunded within one year.
