I recently purchased washing machine, and It had open box delivery. First of all delivery boy comes without any prior call at doorstep. when I was doing inspection, I saw scratch and rusty bolts which that delivery boy also saw. and I was not sure to give OTP or not but he kept on saying to pass OTP and I’ll be able to return/replace after the delivered status.
Now, I made a huge mistake by giving him OTP which I completely agree was wrong. things to Note here is,
DO NOT LISTEN TO DELIVERY BOY IF HE INSIST FOR OTP.
He was also aware that if I give OTP I’ll not be able to return for the damages which are visible with eyes, which he also agreed on. So he should have first hand not to insist for OTP which he did. so it’s an issue with the Amazon delivery agent/s also, they just want product to be delivered without thinking about the customers.
I hope this review helps someone to keep this in mind for open box delivery.
