Got a message at 6 AM in the morning from VZ-ViCMS with the below details:

“Hello! Thank you for using contentDesc, You have been charged Rs. 19.01”

Subsequently my main balance of my Vodafone was reduced. I am using Vodafone for quite some time. I enquired about this from Vodafone customer care and they mentioned that there is no record of any deduction and sent an SMS confirming the same. There was also no VAS attached to my account. However, the charges got deducted from my main account. I tried to get some information on stopping such services, but it seems that there is no method.

This seems to be a scam as I have not authorized any debit for my Vodafone balance. Browsing the internet, I found that multiple people have been duped in such a way. Need to know the reason for the deduction and the process to stop such deductions.
